And ... well, And so he had, where the thought wanders and every action, everything came to an end ...after walking together, after seeing the birth of many moons and many suns, the time has come ... a surrender forever, to a life without me ...
It is with these verses of Marco Pancrazi that we want to start our interview, a talent that we recognize, to him that of the "wording", but also of the look, the emotion, given that the artist was also chosen for his eyes! The director Alfonso Bergamo has seen fit to entrust the role of Jonah, ice-blue eyes, deep look, taut, almost to defy the camera ... In the cast we find also Vincent Riotta already a guest of our address book, and many other names of stars. Let's go back to Marco: we will find out who it is! He was born in Tivoli, not far from the capital, on October 23rd, 1983.
Marco Pancrazi graduated at the 'itis A.Volta and at I.U.S.M. in Rome.
From an early age he practiced several sports and focused on those extreme. He practices, among the most important, Viet Vo Dao, Parkour and Freerun, Artistic Gymnastics, Breakdancing, Snowboarding and Motocross. In 2004 he began to work in films as a stuntman, and at the same time he studied acting with various teachers, Bruno, Milesi, Franceschi, Gonzalez and Riotta, but focuses on learning "method" with Michael Margotta and Francesca Viscardi, members of the Actors Studio of NY and students of Lee Strasberg. In his spare time he enjoys directing and writing scrrenplays and poetry ...
And now let's indulge in this long-awaited interview!
-When you approached for the first time the artistic world ? -
"I approached the art world with the theater. In my first school play was playing "The Nutcracker", my first starring role, I was 8 years old. I do not remember much of that time, but I was struck by reviewing a photo of that show, where one perceives all the concentration in my eyes. Then, for many years my artistic expression was martial arts, until the age of eighteen, when I took the responsibility to turn my life to the art of interpretation (I like to call it that), initially as a Stuntman, and then as an Actor. "
-And now, what drives you to continue this path? -
"The animal instinct. That needs to be on stage and feed on the energy of the audience. That love for the camera and for the set, so strong, that I can not help it. When I'm at home on a film set. The strong desire to make great films, and to give my contribution to bring the Italian Cinema to the splendor that was fifty years ago. "
-Who would you thank for the success? -
"My many "Masters" in the first place. Masters of life and Masters of Art. Michael Margotta, that was my first real teacher, the one who made me discover this. Vincent Riotta, teacher, colleague, but above all a great friend, from whom I learned so much, a person on whom I can always count on. Viet Vo Dao martial art that has shaped my character. Alfonso Bergamo, a young director who believed in me, giving me the responsibility of being the protagonist of his first work, Tender Eyes. Myself, for I never gave up and for having the courage to move forward. "
-A story that does not leave your mind ... -
"A dear friend and great Actor once said to me: "The first time I met your eyes and your eyes have impressed me. They were the eyes of the who knows what he wants. The eyes of a warrior, determined, ready to plan an entire path to follow in order to reach his goal. These same eyes crossed them only once in my life, in the eyes of a friend and fellow academy, Kenneth Branagh". Thank you my friend. "
-Tell me about your last "project" -
"Since returning to Los Angeles in December, there have been various projects I've worked on, including a TV Show, which aired here in LA, but if I tell you about my last, true, project, it is still "Tender Eyes," the first work of Alfonso Bergamo, where I played Jonah. The film was shot in November 2013 and is still in post production, but will be ready by the first two weeks of June. A beautiful but tough experience. The cold, the hard role, the location, the intense story to tell, the high requirements of the director. The two months have been really intense, but with Alfo at the helm of the ship, I'm sure the efforts made will be repaid. I'll be in Rome by June 21st, for the premiere of the film, that will be held at the Adriano Cinema in Piazza Cavour. A private screening, only for people in the industry, distributors, manufacturers, and so on.. The film later on will leave for the various festivals before you see it in theaters. Fingers crossed."
-To achieve your dream, with which the director or author would like to work? -
"There are many, too many. Clint Eastwood, Christopher Nolan, Master Stanley Kubrick, Scorsese, Joaquin Phoenix ... "
-If you could go back what you won't do again? -
"Well, it's a good question. Honestly, I'm quite pleased with all the choices made in my life, because each of them has unleashed something that led me to be the person I am today. So ... no regrets. Maybe one or two ... I wanted to study English as a child, so to avoid all these problems today. I would have also liked not having to be forced to leave Italy, to try to do something productive in my career ... but our country is dead right now, and I do not feel I want to waste my life to wait our finest politicians to stop playing and they will deign to give a face to our nation."
-Define yourself in three words. -
"Be Here Now."
It's the case to say that the film, thanks to Alfonso Bergamo ... has not stopped in Eboli! June 6th, in "The Orangery of San Sisto," Introduction of TENDER EYES by Alfonso Bergamo. There will be the intervention of the producers Erica Fava (Look Inside) and Andrea Giunti (FJFM Production) and the Director Alfonso Bergamo. Screening of Official trailer with music live orchestra conducted by Maestro Francesco Marchetti and many other surprises.
I, however, am waiting here at Star of Day, for another interview, another emotion!
