Today, dear readers, we will introduce "the hands of a Sicilian artist," a "sugarlike creator", a creator who is able to reach the palates of the "greedies" ... the children and the most curious adults, in short, almost all! Who is Gianfranco Carbonaro? He was born in Genoa on 04/10/1964. He attended the Institute "Marangoni" in Milan, but for family reasons he was forced to give up the dream of graduating. He will be our guest today, thanks to this interview and we're flattered! "My whole world ... in a Cake & Cookie!"

When you approached for the first time in the world of art ?

From an early age I have always been artistically complete, design, art, sculpture and anything that can be called "art" has always made me fall in love. Think that when I was 20 I remember I found the system to draw a face using ... old shoes. In 1987 I made the first exhibition at the NATO base in Comiso, enjoying success and flattering compliments even by the present Institutions. Even today some specimens of those sculptures are jealously guarded at the restaurant of my brother. My artistic life has always been for me the "front line". I have been a decorator of showcases, designer of fashion shows for three years at the trade fair EMAIA of my city, Vittoria (Rg). I also opened a studio showcase where I planned and I realized subjects to decorate shop windows. In 1990 I left for a while committing with the culinary field, opening a pub and participating in the formation of creperie, pizza chef and restaurateur. Now about 25 years worked alongside my wife in a bakery, dedicating myself to the image of the store and the construction of new confectionery products. To the point, given my artistic experience, I decided to attend master cake given the great success of the cake designer (decorator of cakes) specializing on the decoration of cakes and biscuits. The decorator of cakes that artistically is my passion is a discipline that for two years I've been carrying with love and professionalism. I love to make my customers dream with cakes the most spectacular ever seen, with great success in my city, in my province, on social facebook and around the world.

And today, what drives you to continue this path?

Today as yesterday, and more than yesterday inspires me to continue on my path to love my profession and my artistic side that I love more than my life.

Who would you thank for the success?

I'd thank all my teachers in high school who taught me so much and especially all of my clients that have made me grow so much. I also thank my TV-mentor Buddy Valastro (the Boss of the Cake) whom I love and admire for all his incredible creations ... I feel myself as the small Sicilian Buddy. Tell me about your latest project. My plans are always last, every cake that I make is always a last project, I'm happy and proud when I leave amazed my clients.

To fulfill your dream with which artist you want to work?

To complete my dream, question worth $100,000. ... You go to work with the American Cake Boss Buddy Valastro at his sweet hole. I love this cake designer for his artistic imagination say that resembles a bit mine. Removing anything that Italy boasts many talented cake designer that I admire so much, one of these is called Renato Ardovino the king of Italian cakes.

How do you define yourself in three words?

I define myself in four words: I love my hands.

If you could go back what not to do again?

If I could go back I would not do anything that there is in the midst of the art and most of all, I tell you the truth, I can not live without my cake ... Overnight I "cake", cake designer stuff. Some times I can put my family in the background, because when I have a cake to be implemented I am absent with everyone. We remain "just" me and my cake.

For a young people who want to take your career, what would you recommend?

For young people who want to pursue this discipline I can only say that, if you have artistic talent, do not underestimate this work, tenacity is in first place. The first thought is for my children and my wife that I love more than my life.

The anecdote that mentally doesn't leave me in peace is: "I wish to go to work with Buddy Valastro in America."
